Why I built it
When parents live in two different homes, even ordinary expenses can become difficult to reconstruct: a receipt in a message, a payment remembered differently, or a total calculated twice.
I built JuSplit to create one shared record. Each expense can be entered, reviewed by both parents, and included in a balance that shows clearly who owes what — without replacing the agreements between them.
What it does
Shared expensesBoth parents work from the same list instead of separate notes or messages.
Mutual approvalEach expense can be reviewed so its status is clear to everyone involved.
Automatic balanceJuSplit calculates the amount due according to the agreed share.
Documents attachedReceipts and supporting files can stay connected to the relevant expense.
Designed for clarity
JuSplit does not transfer money or decide what parents should agree on. It keeps a transparent history of expenses and settlements, reducing the need to reconstruct the past from scattered conversations.
JuSplit is currently available for iOS, with the Android version coming soon.
